Root Division's Art Auction is an evening of good company, friendly competition, and a chance to support artists & arts education in San Francisco. This Art Auction will present an eclectic mix of quality artwork from over 125 established and emerging local artists. It’s a wonderful chance to throw your hand in the air and take home something inspiring but affordable. Proceeds benefit local emerging artists, as well as Root Division’s free after school art classes for Bay Area youth.

8th Annual Art Auction: Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

6:30 –7:30 pm: VIP Cocktail Hour
Private viewing with complimentary appetizers, specialty cocktails,
champagne toast, & VIP gift bags

7:30 –10:00 pm: Regular Admission/ Silent Auction

8:15pm: Live Auction begins

Auction Tickets: $35 per person ($25 before Oct. 19)
Auction + VIP Cocktail Hour: $75 per person ($60 before Oct. 19)

ABOUT ROOT DIVISION
Root Division's mission is to improve appreciation and access to the visual arts by connecting personal inspiration and community participation. We provide subsidized studio space to working artists in exchange for their service in creating shared learning opportunities for the community. Artists develop creatively and professionally by teaching art to underserved youth, leading adult education classes, and producing exhibitions that showcase local emerging artwork. By combining multiple opportunities for creative exchange, Root Division cultivates an artistic ecosystem that enriches life throughout the Bay Area.

Root Division is supported in part by grants from Grants for the Arts: SF Hotel Tax Fund, The San Francisco Foundation, and the Walter and Elise Haas Fund. The Second Saturday Exhibition Series is sponsored by the Phyllis C.
